Beauty & brains are two things that I possess...
Just when you looked pass them…
they shined even brighter.
Genuine love is the key to my heart
…Just when you thought you had it…
I changed the locks
Convinced and corrupted
with no form of understanding
in site. Life holds many obstacles
and I’m only at start, parts
of my mind still cannot
fathom what the world has
in store for me….BUT Just when
you thought I was giving up...
I gave it my all!!
Just when you felt it was ok to make
me second so you could finish first,
I took my time & STILL came out on top!!
Remember when you pretended to
be happy to make some smile & others smirk!?
Or how about when you tried to dodge
the trials and tribulations bullet because
your too weak to live for YOU.
Just when you decided to leave... I stayed
& when you decided to lie…I told the truth
…when you laughed…. I cried...
When you doubted me…I kept the faith…
When it got dark…. I continued to shine
& when YOU became a coward…I
STAYED a woman.
Life often takes us on a path that we
sometimes dread to follow…never
settle or take the easy way out…
instead stick it out…prove them
wrong….My story was left half told
& unfinished but I’m determined
to tell it all & give it an “Happily Ever After.”
So the next time you feel good
about your choice remember
I’m feeling better
When you think I’m sad remember I’m blessed...
When you thought you won….
NEVER forget I conquered…
And when you feel like giving up…
UNDERSTAND I'm giving it my all!
